About the Job
CitizenM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in the Voorschoten Support Office. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and tax filings, as well as month and quarterly close activities and assigned reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely close processes and internal reporting in accordance with local accounting rules.
- Direct, monitor, and review daily accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash administration, and general ledger.
- Own the inputs of entities for financial cycles, including financial reporting, closing, and audit cycles.
- Create and maintain balance sheet dossier using Tagetik Account Reconciliation & Transaction Matching.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Prepare and review local tax filings for several entities, supporting other tax compliance activities and collaborating with the Tax department.
- Work with financial control teams to ensure smooth month-end closing processes.
- Establish internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and assess internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
- Guide and coach juniors, mediors, and peers in their day-to-day tasks to improve process quality, controls, and reporting.
- Support citizenM's finance strategy and identify opportunities for improvements, standardization, and best practice implementation.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Structured, organized, and able to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central 365 is an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, being proactive, flexible, and independent is a must.
- Fluent in English, Dutch, or French is a plus.
