Programme Officer for Rights-Based Justice

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Programme Officer to join our Rights-Based Justice team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of projects and contributing to the development of our programme.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Programme Manager in organising project activities, including correspondence with partners, taking minutes, and preparing narrative reports;
- Assist in financial administration of projects, including invoice management, processing partners' financial reports, and assistance in preparation of donor financial reports;
- Draft contracts and contract amendments;
- Coordinate logistical and administrative tasks for project activities and meetings;
- Provide administrative support to colleagues as needed;
- Contribute to the development of the programme, including project proposal development, under the supervision of the Programme Manager;
- Represent the NHC in meetings and events, as required.
- Dedication to human rights, rule of law, and democratic values;
- Knowledge of and interest in supporting inclusive, humane, and effective justice systems, particularly in prison and youth detention reform;
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject;
- Experience with project management, including working with budgets and financial reporting;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organisational and administrative skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
- Excellent writing and drafting skills;
- Fluency in English and preferably Dutch;
- Knowledge of wider Europe is an asset;
- Availability and willingness to travel.

What We Offer- A salary based on qualifications and experience, between €702 and €3,274 gross per month;
- 8% holiday pay and 5% pension scheme;
- Initially a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension if circumstances permit.
