Job Title: Machine Learning/DevOps Expert
Sia Partners is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning/DevOps Expert to join our Amsterdam Data Science team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing high-performance software solutions hosted on scalable and secure cloud infrastructures for our Data Science projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud services at GCP, AWS, and Azure, including choice of architecture, use of storage & compute services, cost monitoring and optimization, role management, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Develop and manage Docker and Kubernetes environments, including containerization & orchestration of applications, management of K8s clusters adapted to Data Science workloads.
- Write Python code for server-side tools, including mass data processing, API REST servers, authentication, and more.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, including integration and continuous deployment of applications and internal platforms, and support for the deployment of Data Science projects with our customers.
- Design and implement infrastructures & services adapted to Machine Learning, including technological watch and implementation of solutions useful to Data Scientists in learning and making their ML models available.
Requirements:
- MSc level in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Informatica, or related field of study.
- Strong Python skills and a solid foundation in other languages, including at least one SQL DBMS (ideally PostgreSQL) and noSQL (ideally MongoDB).
- Familiarity with at least one cloud service platform (GCP, AWS, Azure) with experience mixing different services within the same project.
- Comfortable using Docker, automating CI/CD pipelines, and a strong desire to gain skills in Kubernetes if not already experienced.
- Part of the DevOps Culture, supporting the code life cycle from development to deployment and maintenance of applications, with a mastery of the Gitlab-CE ecosystem a plus.
- Experience in implementing application protection solutions, including certificate management, security, OAuth2 authentication, and credential management.
- Natural curiosity to follow the evolution of the sector, with strong convictions on the technologies of the moment, and proactive in gaining skills in new technologies.
