Senior Piping Engineer

What will be your responsibilities?

In this position, you will undertake the following tasks:

  • As a Senior Piping Engineer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic project teams dedicated to the construction of luxury yachts.
  • You will report directly to the Engineering Coordinator. Utilizing your extensive technical expertise, you will assess and discuss Project Development details and work delineation during the pre-construction phase. Your focus will be on the piping discipline, which is one of several key areas including construction, outfitting, systems, electrical, and interior.
  • Throughout the engineering phase, you will ensure the quality of engineering outputs, verifying proper interfacing and integration of data across various disciplines. This includes delivering accurate plan drawings and technical specifications that adhere to the Building Specification and all relevant standards, design codes, and regulations. You will review and endorse engineering documentation, ensuring completeness of scope. If required, you will initiate corrective actions to address complex technical challenges and oversee follow-up to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • You will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of assigned professionals (if applicable).
  • Your organizational skills will be crucial in ensuring that project objectives are met on schedule. You will collaborate closely with our partners, identifying and leveraging potential synergies based on your expertise and mutual respect.

What qualifications are required?

  • A degree in Higher Vocational Education or Secondary Vocational Education with relevant experience in the discipline (MBO+).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within the maritime or yacht construction sectors.
  • You should possess competencies such as analytical thinking, persuasiveness, results orientation, and a strong team spirit.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset is essential.
  • A commitment to teamwork and a desire for continuous learning are highly valued.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, AutoCAD, and/or Rhinoceros is expected.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is necessary.
