Job Title: Lead Engineer Piping

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer Piping to join our team at Oceanco. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the piping engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality piping designs and solutions that meet our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the piping engineering team, providing technical guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality piping designs and solutions.
  • Develop and implement piping engineering standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of piping systems with other ship systems.
  • Review and approve piping designs, specifications, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential piping-related risks and issues, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Higher Vocational Education or Secondary Vocational Education with relevant work experience (MBO+) related to the piping discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the maritime industry and/or yacht building industry, preferably in a lead or management role.
  • Strong analytical, persuasive, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, AutoCAD, and/or Rhinoceros.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
