The Radboud University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Governance of Grand Societal Challenges project. The project aims to improve our understanding of the implementation and effects of decent work regulation, specifically whether and how regulatory changes on decent work within global value chains help reduce organisational wrongdoing and corruption, and thereby affect decent working conditions for shop-floor workers in the Global South.
Research Objectives- To investigate the impact of decent work regulation on organisational wrongdoing and corruption
- To examine the role of multi-actor perspectives in shaping decent work regulation
- To develop a comprehensive understanding of the implementation and effects of decent work regulation in global value chains
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting data collection and analysis for the project
- Developing and implementing research collaborations with international organisations working on the topic
- Reporting on empirical findings through written reports and academic articles, as well as presenting at international conferences
- Teaching courses in the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration and/or the Master's specialisation in Organisational Design and Development and/or Strategic Human Resource Management
The ideal candidate will have:
- A PhD in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Sociology, Political Science)
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Experience with data collection and analysis methods (e.g. interviews, observations, document analysis, surveys)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
