Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Governance of Grand Societal Challenges

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Radboud University's Nijmegen School of Management. The successful candidate will conduct research in the exciting field of governance of grand societal challenges, with a particular focus on decent work in global supply chains.
The project aims to improve our understanding of the implementation and effects of decent work regulation, including the impact on organisational wrongdoing and corruption, and the effects on decent working conditions for shop-floor workers in the Global South. The research will take a multi-actor perspective, considering the perspectives of business organisations, employee and employer associations, workers, governments, international and non-governmental organisations, and other stakeholders.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will work closely with Drs Stefan Schembera, Sofija Pajic, Lander Vermeerbergen, and Nora Lohmeyer, and will be responsible for data collection and data analysis. The research will involve both qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, observations, document analysis, and surveys. Field research may involve field visits in production countries.
The successful candidate will have a Ph D degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, and demonstrable knowledge in recent theoretical and empirical developments in the governance of social challenges in global supply chains or related areas. The candidate should also have experience with conducting qualitative and quantitative research, and a proven ability to publish academic work in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, or conference proceedings.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will be part of the Department of Business Administration at the Nijmegen School of Management, which is responsible for the BSc programme in Business Administration and seven specialisations within the MSc programme in Business Administration. The department focuses on the topic of 'Responsible Organisation', providing a welcoming context for conducting research on the governance of grand societal challenges.
We offer a temporary employment contract (0.8 FTE 33-month contract or 1.0 FTE 27-month contract), with a salary within salary scale 10, depending on previous education and number of years of (relevant) work experience. The contract includes an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus, as well as the opportunity to use our Dual Career and Family Support Service.
