Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team at AMOLF, a leading research institute in the field of nanophotonics and light management. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating the potential use of cathodoluminescence spectroscopy in a scanning electron microscope as a tool for semiconductor metrology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect angle-, polarization-, and time-resolved CL spectra on complex nanostructures composed of metal, semiconductor, and dielectrics.
  • Derive characteristic materials properties and feature sizes in 3D from the collected data sets.
  • Develop practical workflows for CL tomography in collaboration with the neighboring Advanced Research Center for Nanolithography (ARCNL) and industry partners.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
  • Strong social, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Work Environment

AMOLF is a dynamic and international research institute located at Amsterdam Science Park. Our team is composed of an international group of researchers and students working in a collaborative atmosphere with many social activities. We offer a state-of-the-art cleanroom for nanofabrication and characterization, as well as many other facilities.

What We Offer
