Job Description

As an Offshore Cost Estimator at Boskalis, you will play a crucial role in influencing the contracts we secure, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

In this position, you will be instrumental in guiding the tender phase from initiation to submission. You will liaise with various internal departments to ensure timely input, which will be essential for advising on diverse scenarios and associated cost estimates for our projects.

The transport and installation of floating wind turbines. The installation scope for a large offshore wind farm project.

Responsibilities of the Offshore Cost Estimator

Developing various scenarios and preparing cost calculations or budgets based on client requirements and available specifications and tender documents. Managing document registrations and maintaining the calculation/budget files and database. Providing advice on risk scenarios during risk assessment sessions in the tender or implementation phases. Assisting the project team with work preparation, including drafting a concept plan and initiating a working budget. Evaluating and assessing prices from subcontractors, service providers, and suppliers.

Qualifications
You can excel as an Offshore Cost Estimator if you possess:

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Cost Estimator in a project-oriented company within Offshore Energy, preferably in Renewables. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Technical Business Studies, or related fields. Comprehensive knowledge of contract management and financial-economic business processes. Proficiency in written and spoken English. An analytical, precise approach, with a results-oriented and proactive attitude.

Additional Information

Your team: You will be part of the Cost Estimating team at Boskalis Offshore Energy, consisting of approximately 15 professionals. All Cost Estimators work collaboratively within the organization. Work location: Your primary base will be at the head office, with flexible working arrangements available. Employment type: This position is a full-time role (40 hours per week).
