About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Andaz Amsterdam, Prinsengracht. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, while also providing exceptional leadership and guidance to our culinary staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase the best of Mediterranean cuisine, using fresh, local ingredients and creative presentation techniques.
  • Lead a team of culinary staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure excellent food quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and stock management, to ensure efficient and effective food production.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including front-of-house and events, to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques, and implement new ideas and innovations in the kitchen.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience as Senior Chef de Partie or 3 years as Chef de Partie in an a-la-carte restaurant or luxury hotel with high quality standards.
  • Diploma in food production/culinary arts, or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Love for Mediterranean cuisine and passion for fresh, local ingredients.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Schedule flexibility, as work days and hours may vary according to operational needs.
  • 'HACCP' certification.
  • Creativity, motivation, and hands-on mentality.
  • International state of mind, with good communication skills in English (and, ideally, in Dutch).
  • Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country.
