About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced League Operations Manager to join our team.

As a League Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day league-related discussions and topics, working closely with our product and event execution teams to ensure our competitive standards are upheld.

This includes technical requirements, rule application, rule creation (if applicable), and player communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product team in designing and implementing engaging tournament formats and league structures for various esports competitions.
  • Work closely with our global partners to ensure a smooth execution, including tournament setup, tournament documentation, player and team management (including travel if applicable), broadcast coordination, scheduling, and ruling-related topics.
  • Develop and maintain the Global Esports Rulebooks, Tournament regulations, including gathering feedback from the various product owners on improvements, adjusting the language as the ecosystem evolves, and going through any related review and approval process.
  • Facilitate conversations with key stakeholders on league-related topics that require escalation.
  • Uphold the rules and regulations and maintain competitive integrity across all of our competitions, including decision-making based on facts and taking an unbiased approach to issues that may arise.
  • Build a strong relationship with the esports competitive community, including gathering feedback, identifying their needs, and communicating guidelines to them.
  • Optimize and improve league-related processes and issue tracking to maximize efficiency and maintain ruling consistency across our various regions.
  • Provide insight and reports on our competition's progress, issues, and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in league operations, product management, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of working experience in competitive games, esports, or sports.
  • Proven track record working with a multi-cultural team across multiple time zones.
  • Strong autonomous business & strategic thinking as well as pro-activity required.
  • Excellent communication (business and legal) and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners (in English).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office/G Suite applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Impeccable organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential matters.
  • Strong enthusiasm for esports and gaming.
  • Capability to travel on a regular basis.

Pluses

  • Native/fluent in additional languages (Chinese).
  • Have experience in Battle Royale and Moba titles.
