League Operations Manager

Tencent Games is seeking a highly skilled and experienced League Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our esports operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our competitive games and tournaments.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the product team to design and implement engaging tournament formats and league structures.
- Work closely with global partners to ensure a seamless execution of tournaments, including setup, documentation, player and team management, broadcast coordination, scheduling, and ruling-related topics.
- Develop and maintain the Global Esports Rulebooks and Tournament regulations, gathering feedback from product owners, adjusting language as the ecosystem evolves, and navigating review and approval processes.
- Facilitate conversations with key stakeholders on league-related topics that require escalation.
- Uphold the rules and regulations, maintaining competitive integrity across all competitions, making decisions based on facts, and taking an unbiased approach to issues that may arise.
- Build strong relationships with the esports competitive community, gathering feedback, identifying needs, and communicating guidelines.
- Optimize and improve league-related processes and issue tracking to maximize efficiency and maintain ruling consistency across regions.
- Provide insights and reports on competition progress, issues, and results.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in league operations, product management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of working experience in competitive games, esports, or sports.
- Proven track record working with a multi-cultural team across multiple time zones.
- Strong autonomous business and strategic thinking, as well as proactivity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office/G Suite applications.
- Impeccable organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential matters.
- Strong enthusiasm for esports and gaming.
- Capability to travel on a regular basis.
