The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Application Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engineering functionalities in our Computer Aided Design platform, with a special focus on Cadmatic, across the product lifecycle process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate engineering business needs into functional specifications for application developments.
  • Analyse issues collaboratively with stakeholders and devise solutions.
  • Develop and implement application processes and functionalities.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
  • Manage interfaces between applications and Cadmatic.
  • Maintain user access rights administration within the application.
  • Setup and configure project environments within Cadmatic.
  • Organize application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support.
  • Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users with regards to Cadmatic.
  • Prepare and develop CADMATIC training materials, tips, application documentation, and user manuals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency with Cadmatic platform, ideally also affinity with CATIA and the 3DExperience platform (Dassault Systemes).
  • Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous.
  • Ability to work in Vlissingen and Schiedam locations, in The Netherlands.

At Damen Naval, we offer a competitive salary, 8% holiday pay, 27 holidays and 13 ADV days, travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre, PME-pension arrangement with an employer contribution of 60%, profit sharing based on company results, working from home policy, and other benefits including a bicycle plan and company fitness.
