Job Summary

The Associate General Counsel will play a key role in advising on complex legal matters, supporting clients and internal stakeholders, and driving business growth through strategic legal guidance.

About the Role

This is a senior in-house counsel position that requires a strong understanding of commercial and privacy law, as well as experience in employment legislation in the EU. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in contract law, corporate governance, and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on complex legal issues, including commercial contracts, employment law, and corporate governance.
  • Support clients and internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, including contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to drive business growth and minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with external counsel to provide expert advice on complex legal matters.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced colleagues on legal matters and compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance on their impact on the business.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years' experience as in-house counsel or a qualified lawyer with a strong background in commercial and privacy law.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English, with knowledge of other languages a bonus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Experience in employment legislation in the EU, with a strong understanding of contract law and corporate governance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
