Job Title: Front Office Night Supervisor

Job Summary:

Hilton Amsterdam is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Night Supervisor to join our team. As a Night Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising reception operations and ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Reception Operations: Ensure that all reception operations are carried out efficiently and effectively, including check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Support Team Members: Provide support to Team Members in handling guest requests and inquiries to ensure a positive outcome.
  • Represent the Front Desk Manager: Represent the Front Desk Manager in their absence during the night shift.
  • Ensure Customer Service: Ensure that a consistent, high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
  • Brief Team Members: Brief Team Members on any events or VIP guests in the hotel that day.
  • Drive Sales Revenues: Drive sales revenues and promote hotel services and facilities for up-selling opportunities.
  • Monitor Team Performance: Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team, with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
  • Ensure Product Knowledge: Ensure that Team Members have current knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform their duties.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards.
  • Act in Accordance with Hotel Policies: Act in accordance with the front of house equipment and the property management systems.
  • Perform Night Audit: Perform the Night Audit and ensure that all reports are prepared for next day operations.
  • Support Room-Service Department: Support the Room-Service department by being responsible for the Night Menu.
  • Make Book-Outs: Make book-outs if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a customer-focused industry.
  • Previous Night Shift Experience: Previous experience with night-shifts.
  • Positive Attitude and Good Communication Skills: Positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Commitment to Customer Service: Committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to Work Independently or as Part of a Team: Ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
  • Competent Level of IT Proficiency: Competent level of IT proficiency.
  • Fluency in English: Fluent in English, fluent in Dutch is preferred and an additional foreign language.
  • Availability to Work Night Shifts: Able to work 3-4 night shifts per week.

Desirable Capabilities and Distinctions:

  • Previous Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a hotel environment or 2 years' experience as a Front Desk agent.
  • Previous Night Shift Experience: Previous experience with night shifts.
