Phytopathology Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Research and Development team in De Lier, The Netherlands. As a Phytopathology Intern, you will be responsible for assisting our team of researchers in the development of detached leaf assay protocols for Powdery Mildew in one of our crops.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct literature reviews on detach leaf assay methods for powdery mildew
- Develop methods to inoculate powdery mildew in detach leaf assays
- Design and execute experiments for pathogenicity tests in detach leaf assays and full-grown plants
- Perform image analysis and data visualization
- Write detailed reports summarizing experiments and results
- Pursuing a MSc in plant sciences or a relevant field
- Experience with laboratory techniques and working with pathogens
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
