Charterer

We are seeking a highly skilled Charterer to join our team at Vroon, a leading shipping company with a rich history dating back to 1890. As a Charterer, you will play a crucial role in the commercial management of our fleet of product and high-heat tankers.

• Negotiate and fix Time charters and/or spot cargoes with clients and suppliers.
• Prepare voyage calculations to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, external brokers, charterers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Market and charter vessels to clients, building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
• Monitor market developments and provide market intelligence to inform business decisions.
• Attend meetings, exhibitions, and seminars to promote the Vroon fleet and build relationships with clients and industry partners.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial role or the shipping industry.
• Experience in operating or chartering tankers is an advantage.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Dutch language skills at conversational level are a plus.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Reporting and presentation skills, with the ability to analyze data and provide insights.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including travel to see clients and attend industry events.
