About the Role

Serco is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team in the European Space Agency (ESA) Financial Operations Section. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our staff and ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Responsibilities
  • Process and certify individual travel claims against supporting vouchers and invoices.
  • Calculate and settle business trip expenses according to agency rules.
  • Enter settlement data into our customer database.
  • File vouchers, invoices, and supporting documentation.
  • Receive and check invoices from travel agents and car hire agents, and enter data into our customer database.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Rectify ticket errors and statistical projections.
  • Check and execute payment list proposals.
  • Upload invoices and credit notes into SAP.
  • Rectify SAP-posting errors.
  • Generate statistics and reports as requested.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Team Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in providing customer-oriented service with attention to processing and workflow.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and experience in Accounts Payables.
  • Familiarity with modern office automation tools and techniques, particularly Microsoft Office or equivalent, as well as customized database and software applications.
  • Experience as a SAP user is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle high workloads.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high degree of organizational and communication abilities to be client-focused.

Relocation
