About the Category Manager Role
We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team at SBM Offshore. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to increase SBM's competitiveness and drive business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies to increase SBM's competitiveness and drive business development.
- Lead the preparation and finalization of deliverables associated with your category, including Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), Framework Agreements (FA), and spend analysis.
- Define category performance objectives and translate them into vendor management and strategic sourcing objectives.
- Serve as a single point of contact for communication with vendors and lead the vendor qualification activities for strategic vendors in your category.
- Monitor and report the SC KPIs for the category, including savings, spend under group framework agreements, and vendor performance.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in Piping Procurement role in EPCI company or Sales engineer/Project Manager at Vendors.
- Strong knowledge of European and Chinese market.
- Full understanding of the O&G Technical Standards for critical steel grades.
- Commercial Profile - Negotiator - Contractual Negotiation.

About the Job Location
The current SBM Schiedam office will move to Groot Handelsgebouw in the heart of Rotterdam city centre by the end of 2024. This will be the perfect location to showcase SBM Offshore's new Rotterdam presence and identity.
