Global Category Manager CAPEX: Drive Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Excellence

As a Global Category Manager CAPEX, you will play a critical role in driving strategic sourcing and procurement excellence for our client's global operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement Food and Pharma, you will collaborate closely with other Global Category Managers and Procurement Managers across 5 continents to develop and implement global category management strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Global Sourcing and Contracting Strategies: Create and execute a clearly defined global sourcing and contracting approach that aligns with key stakeholder requirements.
- Lead Global Category Management Initiatives: Develop, implement, and maintain a 'One Company Global Category Strategy' that includes standards, guidelines, processes, and policies aligned with Business Unit specific requirements.
- Motivate and Coach Local Teams: Motivate and coach local teams to successfully execute the global strategy, driving a culture of positivity through continuous improvement, solid negotiation capabilities, supplier relations management, and development of procurement team category knowledge.
- Drive Global Sourcing and Contracting Projects: Identify and drive global sourcing and contracting projects, ensuring they are implemented and followed by Business Units.
- Material Qualification and Supplier Relationship Management: Ensure assessment of appropriate new material/equipment sources in a timely manner while managing risk to customers and wider business relationships, and maintain ongoing supplier relationship management within your category.
- Education and Qualifications: Degree qualified in an appropriate field, complemented by a postgraduate or professional qualification such as CIPS.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience of strategic category management within your responsible category and across multiple countries is advantageous.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop remote and matrix-managed teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, significant influencing and negotiation skills.
- Procurement Expertise: Direct and indirect procurement, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, contract implementation, and compliance management.
