The Role

As a Senior B2B Pricing Analyst, you will play a vital role in driving profitability and ensuring pricing consistency across our commercial operations. Your analytical skills and commercial acumen will be essential in providing objective, data-driven insights that support our sales teams in achieving their regional objectives. You will be instrumental in shaping our pricing strategy and overseeing the escalation process while monitoring proposed profitability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to the sales team to enhance profitability and maintain pricing consistency.
  • Gather and analyze pricing data, including raw material costs and regional cost structures.
  • Facilitate daily price realization through calculations and recommendations to the commercial team.
  • Deliver unbiased, fact-based insights to support cross-functional decision-making, utilizing both internal and external data analyses.
  • Prepare and update data uploads regularly.
  • Assess the impact of pricing recommendations on current pricing structures and forecast potential escalations.
  • Initiate and oversee price escalations to ensure margin integrity.
  • Drive continuous improvements in pricing and profitability.
  • Develop both reactive and proactive pricing recommendations for sales leadership to meet regional targets.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining customer pricing agreements and contracts.
  • Prepare quarterly updates for price lists.
  • Support quarterly reviews of price realization.
  • Contribute to annual price setting by analyzing historical performance and formulating margin recommendations.
  • Play a crucial role in establishing pricing strategies and monitoring profitability actions.
  • Participate in the annual pricing proposal analysis process.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and data manipulation skills.
  • Understand the cross-functional implications of pricing decisions and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Exhibit proven analytical abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Communicate effectively to persuade others and navigate sensitive discussions.
  • Possess a generalist background with experience in implementing corrective and improvement measures.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in analytics, pricing, finance, or a similar domain.
  • Expertise in analytical tools, including MS Excel, BI, and SQL.
  • Proven experience in data reporting and analysis, with a track record of resolving issues with incomplete or uncertain data.
  • Familiarity with value-based pricing and pricing research methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and a genuine interest in the food and chemical industries.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly at various organizational levels.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
