Job Title: Senior Manager, Accounting

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Accounting to join our FinTech Accounting team at Booking. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the accounting activities across all FinTech Accounting Financial Close teams, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders within Finance and the business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounting activities across all FinTech Accounting Financial Close teams
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders within Finance and the business unit
  • Take full ownership and responsibility of the accounting for a defined set of accounts across multiple Booking entities
  • Sign off on the regular and timely preparation of all required financial reports and schedules for defined sets of entities
  • Manage a team of people managers and drive operations, engagement and development within a large team located in diverse worldwide locations
  • Be responsible for the timely delivery and the integrity of the internal and/or external financial reporting
  • Initiate and own the strategic goals of the team, drive fintech accounting goals and objectives forward in line with the global accounting and finance roadmap and objectives

Requirements:

  • Approx 12+ years experience in finance and/or accounting preferably within a multi-national company (Online Payments Accounting knowledge is beneficial)
  • University degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics
  • Post-graduate education (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience in Finance and/or accounting preferably within a Big4 environment and/or multinational corporate environment
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOx
  • Strong experience managing teams, managing managers, coaching, and providing training on the job
  • Enthusiasm about developing and leading people
  • High levels of personal effectiveness, particularly communication, organization and the ability to focus on achieving project deadlines
