About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Trader & Sourcing Associate to join our team in Japan. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for sourcing and trading chemical raw materials, building relationships with suppliers and customers, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and trade chemical raw materials, including acrylic monomers, hydroxy and specialty monomers, and polymers
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers in Japan
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and increase sales
- Collaborate with the sourcing manager to identify potential suppliers and negotiate agreements
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and logistics
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in the chemical industry
- Excellent command of Japanese, with good English and Dutch language skills
- Strong commercial drive and dynamism, with excellent relationship building and oral communication skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally communicate and interact with all levels of internal and external customers
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- IT literate, with experience in MS Office and ERP/CRM systems
- Willing to relocate to Tokyo within the next 3-5 years
