Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled software development intern to join our team at ASML. As a software development intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that involves developing a tool for reading, parsing, writing, importing, and exporting hardware-related data.

Background Information

ASML is a leading company in the field of lithography machines, and our software development team plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our products. The Hardware Software Interface (HSI) is a critical component of our systems, and we need a tool that can efficiently manage and update HSI data.

Your Assignment

As a software development intern, you will be responsible for developing a prototype of the HSI Data Entry Tool (HDET). The tool should meet the following requirements:

  • Implement the tool as a web service application with a front-end, back-end, and database.
  • Provide a simplified visualization of system configurations by abstracting software-specific syntax from tens of intercorrelated files.
  • Allow for the import and parsing of hardware-related data from various formats, such as Excel files, XML, and databases.
  • Ensure the tool is user-friendly and supports people in updating and adding HSI data.
Your Profile

To be a perfect match for this internship, you should have:

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Full-stack experience with front-end and back-end knowledge, as well as proficiency in Python.
  • Familiarity with REST API, Linux, and Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks, with React/Angular being a plus.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, with PostgreSQL being a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn, structured, independent, and proactive attitude.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
