Sonar Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sonar Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Amsterdam. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing system solution architectures, creating test plans, and conducting field tests and demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Navies, defense companies, and service providers to ensure successful trials and demonstrations.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute pilot demonstrations and field trials for our hydrophone towed arrays and static subsea acoustic monitoring systems.
- Process and evaluate measurement data, and report and document test results for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the business development and sales team in customer meetings with technical discussions.
- Prepare technical proposals and solution architectures.
- Conceptualize test setups and testing methodologies in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Design and realize test setups and associated infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.

- BSc/MSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Naval engineering or similar
- More than 5 years of experience in a similar position as a system or test engineer
- Generalist with a broad interest in technology and interdisciplinary fields
- Good knowledge of data processing and analysis with Python or similar tools
- Good communication skills in English, with an open and social personality
- Structured and independent way of working, affinity with project management
