Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Ofi Cocoa in Koog aan de Zaan. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections of production equipment and facilities to identify potential issues.
  • Resolve mechanical component failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers and other trades to ensure timely and effective maintenance.
  • Disassemble, assemble, and adjust equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement proposals to improve technical processes and situations.
  • Participate in projects and assist in the installation of new facilities.
  • Communicate with supervisors and colleagues to discuss progress, details, and problems.
  • Correct deviations in order execution and signal deficiencies to the chief.
  • Inform third-party and in-house fitters about work situations, processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Supervise, instruct, and monitor compliance with professional, quality, health & safety, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Record relevant data on equipment and tool usage and maintenance.
  • Take initiatives and carry out improvement and overhaul work.
Requirements
  • Technical education at MBO level or higher.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and independently.
