Role Overview

In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to our data management and analysis efforts:

  • Gathering, evaluating, and interpreting data from centralized data repositories related to front-office operations and external market data concerning NN Bank's product offerings.
  • Assessing extensive datasets to ensure compliance with established standards, addressing any identified risks, and reporting data quality concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with data custodians to improve data governance practices.
  • Understanding the regulatory requirements that data management must adhere to.
  • Providing guidance on proper data interpretation and actively promoting initiatives to enhance data quality.
  • Effectively communicating complex analytical findings and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Maintaining close relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, advocating for IT teams outside the department to resolve data-related issues affecting external parties.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest trends in data analytics, risk management, and relevant regulatory standards in the banking sector.

Your Qualifications

You possess strong analytical capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of the broader context. Your excellent communication skills enable you to engage with diverse stakeholders and convey complex information clearly. Additionally, you should meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector, preferably in data management, analysis, and data quality reporting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Azure Databricks, Python, SAS, SQL, and/or version control software, or a willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory and business requirements for Credit Risk (e.g., AIRB, IFRS9, Stress testing) and ALM Risk models, or a willingness to acquire this knowledge.
  • Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Attention to detail and the capability to identify data discrepancies, conducting root cause analysis and monitoring.

As a member of NN Bank's Data Management Office (DMO), you will operate within the Risk (CRO) domain, where our mission is to gather and deliver high-quality data to our clients in finance and risk for modeling and reporting purposes.
