Naval Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Damen Naval, a leading shipbuilder with a rich history of over 150 years. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing complex electrical systems in various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop functional descriptions, drawings, and engineering documents for power distribution, lighting, and other electrical systems.
- Develop and maintain specification documents for electrical components and installation processes.
- Write test and validation plans to ensure compliance with Class regulations and customer requirements.
- Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely contributions to projects.
- Review and implement vendor designs in vessel design.
- Develop and describe standards and working methods for detailed engineering and commissioning.
- Provide technical support and commissioning activities for projects under contract.
- 3+ years' experience in designing complex electrical systems, preferably in maritime, offshore, or industrial installations.
- Experience in designing EMC-compliant solutions and knowledge of TEMPEST regulations.
- Professional experience working in complex projects with multidisciplinary sub-teams and multiple suppliers and subcontractors.
- Experience working in a model-based system engineering environment (MBSE) according to the V-model.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Excellent references and permanent EU citizenship.
- 25 holidays per year.
- 0.19 cents per km.
- Salary: €3500 - €5000 (excluding holiday money).
- Use of courses via Goodhabitz.
