Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Damen Naval. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing complex electrical systems for our naval vessels.
Key Responsibilities- Develop functional descriptions, drawings, and other basic engineering documents for power distribution, lighting, and other electrical systems.
- Develop and maintain specification documents for all electrical components and installation processes.
- Write detailed test and validation plans to ensure compliance with Class regulations and customer requirements.
- Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely contributions to the project.
- Review and implement vendor and subcontractor designs in the vessel's design.
- Develop and describe standards and working methods for detailed engineering and commissioning.
- Provide technical support and commissioning activities for projects under contract.
- 3+ years' experience in designing complex electrical systems, preferably in maritime, offshore, or industrial installations.
- Experience in designing EMC-compliant solutions, with knowledge of TEMPEST regulations a plus.
- Professional experience working in complex projects with multidisciplinary sub-teams and multiple suppliers and subcontractors.
- Experience working in a model-based system engineering environment (MBSE) according to the V-model.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Excellent references and a permanent EU citizenship, as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- A competitive salary and 8% holiday pay.
