This position is essential for enhancing our footprint and nurturing connections with organizations and enterprises across Europe in the data center sector. The ideal candidate should be located in Europe and have a robust background in business development, relationship cultivation, community engagement, and a strong commitment to promoting membership, contributions, and sponsorships within the technology landscape.

The OCP Foundation operates with a compact team of highly skilled professionals whose primary strength lies in their collaborative spirit. While each member has distinct responsibilities, our success heavily relies on mutual support. Effective communication, teamwork, and trust are vital for thriving in this environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the OCP Chief Marketing Officer, Community Director, regional community leaders, and other Foundation personnel to formulate and implement strategies aimed at engaging companies and organizations based in Europe.
  • Identify and nurture relationships with potential members, sponsors, and contributors within the European data center industry.
  • Foster community engagement in the region and implement targeted segmentation strategies to enhance participation, contributions, and involvement.
  • Craft compelling value propositions and messaging to effectively communicate the advantages of OCP membership, programs, and events to prospective members.
  • Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to advocate for OCP initiatives, technical solutions, and member contributions that address industry challenges.
  • Promote the adoption of OCP-recognized hardware by pinpointing new market opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and supporting current OCP Solution Providers in the market.
  • Recruit new OCP Solution Providers into the program to boost the adoption of OCP-recognized solutions across the EMEA region.
  • Encourage participation and sponsorship for OCP events, including regional and global summits, webinars, and specialized focus tracks.
  • Assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new membership and program candidates, providing guidance and mentorship to emerging companies.
  • Collaborate with industry consortia and alliance partners to synchronize strategies and maximize collaborative opportunities.
  • Develop and execute channel strategies to enhance awareness and participation in OCP initiatives throughout Europe.
  • Support the management of content proposals for OCP events and contribute to content creation for various communication platforms, including blogs and white papers.
  • Work alongside volunteers and staff to deliver presentations at OCP events and third-party conferences.
  • Regularly produce and disseminate press releases and communication materials to media and analyst communities in Europe.
  • Represent OCP at industry events to share the organization's narrative and foster community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, as well as community development within the technology sector in Europe.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, remote environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Suites, MS Office, CRM systems, and social media platforms.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe and adapt to flexible working hours to accommodate various time zones.
  • Access to reliable high-speed internet and communication tools.
