About the Role

Vattenfall, a leading European energy company, is seeking an experienced Strategy Advisor to join its Market Insights team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's strategic decision-making process.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in energy economics, with a focus on European power markets. You will be responsible for leading energy economic analyses, scenario design and modelling, and driving fundamental economic and political analysis to provide strategic insights to the corporate strategy process.

As a Strategy Advisor, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including the business Director Market Insights and Product Owners. You will be responsible for creating a view on key European power market drivers, such as renewables, flexibility, market design, and capacity build-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading energy economic analyses in the context of the Long-Term Market Outlook (LTMO)
  • Designing and modelling scenarios to provide strategic insights to the corporate strategy process
  • Driving fundamental economic and political analysis to inform strategic decision-making

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong academic background in energy economics, econometrics, or a related field. You will also need to have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leading energy economic analyses and scenario modelling.
