About the Role

As a Financial Advisor in the international Deepsea Shipping Lending Team at ABN AMRO Bank, you will work in close cooperation with senior lenders to manage the portfolio of Deepsea Shipping client-related lending transactions in Europe. You will be part of Client Service Teams (CST) that are coordinated by the coverage banker to tackle client questions and develop commercial propositions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and execute deals, including pitching to clients, writing credit applications, structuring transactions, reviewing and negotiating credit documentation, and coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor the existing portfolio of (debt) transactions and contribute to a wide variety of internal projects within the larger Shipping & Intermodal Lending department.

Team and Culture

You will be working with a team of ~7 professionals focusing on Deepsea Shipping clients. We work closely together to ensure our portfolio has a balanced credit profile and grows in a sustainable way. We prioritize client service and work in an open floor space, with all stakeholders in our vicinity.

Requirements

  • Finance specialist with former client-facing, risk management, or credit structuring experience.
  • Completed Master's Degree or comparable.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing type of role.
  • Positive mindset and can-do mentality, with a commercial focus on results, fun, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of international credit processes, including credit application, processing, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Deepsea Shipping markets is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and other ICT applications that support the commercial process.
  • Attention to detail and consistently striving for the highest quality output.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and contribute to the performance and development of the team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time to the Head Office in Amsterdam.
  • Fluent in English.
