Job Title: Specialist Shock & Noise

At Damen Naval, we are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Shock & Noise to join our team. As a Specialist Shock & Noise, you will be responsible for designing the ship structure and mounting system components with respect to joint requirements. You will also be involved in full-scale testing and validations on board, as well as supporting R&D projects in this field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design ship structure and mounting system components
  • Conduct full-scale testing and validations on board
  • Support R&D projects in shock and noise reduction
  • Develop and implement software tools and international standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical engineering, or Aerospace engineering
  • Knowledge of and experience with (underwater) shock and noise onboard ships
  • Experience with relevant software tools (6-DOF, FEMAP, ANSYS) and international standards (STANAG, IMO, Class)
  • Good command of English written and verbal
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport
