About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Proposal Specialist to join our team at Damen Naval. As a key member of our Proposals department, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and automation systems for our state-of-the-art naval vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define general system architectures, weight, power, and cost estimations, electrical load balances, and system configurations as part of the design and tender package.
  • Contribute to requirements analysis, draft electrical and automation engineering specifications, and support subcontractor quotation requests and evaluations.
  • Evaluate designs against requirements and prepare corresponding reports.
  • Write technical documents, contract specifications, and reports, effectively communicating complex concepts and data to customers and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in electrical design concepts and practices, preferably in complex maritime projects.
  • Excellent writing skills, able to deliver compelling text, figures, and calculations encompassing very specific technical details and specifications.
  • A commercial mindset to deliver viable yet attractive technical and financial forecasts and propositions.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, preferably also Dutch.
