Electrical Engineer for Tender Design

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Damen Naval's Proposals department. As a Tender Engineer Electrical and Automation, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and automation systems for our naval vessels.
Key Responsibilities- Develop electrical and automation engineering specifications and contribute to requirements analysis and preliminary equipment selection.
- Define general system architectures, including electrical load balances and propulsion system configuration.
- Evaluate designs against requirements and prepare corresponding reports.
- Write technical documents, contract specifications, and reports to effectively communicate complex concepts and data to customers and subcontractors.
- Participate in discussions with customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on technical and commercial aspects of proposed solutions.
- Support cost evaluations and collaborate with internal departments to optimize project outcomes.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design concepts and practices in complex maritime projects.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to deliver detailed and compelling technical content.
- Commercial mindset to create viable and appealing technical and financial forecasts.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, with a willingness to learn Dutch.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport required.
