About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our Dredging and Inland Infra team at Boskalis. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal advice on complex issues and ensuring that all contractual matters are in order.

As a member of our Business Legal Team, you will work closely with our management and project management teams to provide support and guidance on legal matters. You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements, providing support in arbitration cases, and monitoring relevant developments in legislation and case law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice on complex issues and ensuring contractual matters are in order
  • Drafting and reviewing agreements related to cooperation, contracting, procurement, and chartering of vessels
  • Providing support in arbitration cases and legal proceedings
  • Monitoring and following up on relevant developments in legislation and case law

Requirements

  • A Master degree in Law
  • At least 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in a role as legal counsel, lawyer, legal advisor, preferably within an international company
  • Knowledge of contract law and construction law
  • Strong communication skills and business-oriented approach
  • Fluent language skills in English, Dutch language skills are a nice to have
  • Flexibility about travelling
