We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at TU Delft, working on the project "Flow4Algae". This project aims to understand the multiscale fluid dynamics of living microalgae suspensions, with a focus on the interplay between flow conditions, cell physiology, and cell growth.
Key Responsibilities- Design and conduct new multiscale experiments to investigate the fluid dynamics of microalgae suspensions
- Develop and apply advanced analytical tools to analyze the experimental data
- Collaborate with the research team to integrate the experimental results with modeling and simulation efforts
- Contribute to the development of new flow technologies for bioreactors
- Communicate research findings through publications and presentations
- PhD degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Biophysics, Applied Physics, Bio process technology)
- Demonstrated competencies in one or more of the following areas: Fluid mechanics, Active/Bio fluids, Experimental Flow diagnostics, Microfluidics, micro algae research
