We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quality Assurance Lead to join our team at Damen Naval. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our shipbuilding projects.

About the Role

The Project Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for the execution and optimization of quality assurance processes and procedures for Damen Naval shipbuilding projects. This includes overseeing, advising, and reporting on quality issues related to the project(s) assigned to you. You will also be responsible for initiating root-cause analysis for quality deviations and updating the overall quality policy and standards to prevent reoccurrence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quality processes and foster a quality mindset in each shipbuilding project.
  • Ensure quality management principles, protocols, and processes are correctly applied.
  • Lead the Project Quality team.
  • Create the QA registration system processes and ensure it is kept complete and updated.
  • Participate in project and department progress meetings.
  • Update project management on the quality assurance status and incident mitigations.
  • Liaise with the Government Quality Assurance Representative (GQAR) and provide all QA information.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management, preferably acquired in the naval, defense, or shipbuilding industry.
  • Experienced with manufacturing techniques and processes, preferably in the naval shipbuilding industry.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Business Administration, Maritime Technology, or Shipbuilding.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent references and antecedents, as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
