Procurement Specialist

About the Role

As a purchasing manager at Van Werven, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the customer base in Germany. This involves acquiring, negotiating, and maintaining customer relationships, often requiring site visits. Your focus will be on purchasing hard plastics from the German market for our processing locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and potential customers.
• Negotiate and administratively handle offered loads of plastic waste with the backoffice team.
• Conduct site visits to assess plastic waste.
• Secure new contracts and agreements, maintain accurate customer files, and ensure relevant data is up-to-date.
• Propose efficiency improvements.
• Translate commercial policy into practical commercial activities in consultation with the general manager.
• Meet sales and margin targets in Germany.
• Maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Identify trends.
• Represent the company at fairs and networking events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in German and English, with Dutch being an asset.
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to convince and optimize within the supply chain.
• Affinity with the recycling industry.
