Job Summary

OCI Iowa Fertilizer is seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our Ammonia and Urea Operations team in Wever, Iowa. As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and storage of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate automated loading systems to fill containers with fertilizers and other products.
  • Monitor and maintain the storage area to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to new team members.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to heavy physical demands.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to operate automated systems and mobile equipment.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Experience in fertilizer production or a related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to walk 20,000 steps or more daily on concrete, gravel, and metal grated floors.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs to heights in excess of 100 feet.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
