Phyto Specialist

As a Phyto Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the flawless execution of phyto processes, guaranteeing first-time-right shipments to our customers and Bayer entities. Your primary responsibility is to coordinate and monitor training and preparation of at least two backup personnel for your role, managing risks such as Covid-19, urgencies, unplanned absences, and vacation time.
This position will be based in Enkhuizen, where you will work closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities, including Plantum and NvWA, to ensure compliance with Dutch export and country-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement phyto-sanitary documents in accordance with Dutch export and country-specific requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for NvWA officials and internal queries.
- Stay up-to-date on internal and external country requirements in a proactive manner.
- Contribute to functional meetings with relevant information.
- Liaise with covering authorities, such as Plantum and NvWA.
- Keep internal and external stakeholders informed and up-to-date.
- Train phytosanitary coordinators on country-specific requirements and phyto creation.
- Explore opportunities for process and cost optimization, with a focus on automation.
- Maintain country-specific requirements within work instructions and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive manual for phyto creation.
- Participate in cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (HBO) or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in phyto, with prior experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience with Sales Order Processing Systems and SAP (key user level).
- Excellent knowledge of foreign trade, E-CERT, and STRATECH.
- Certificate of Good Conduct (VGB).
- Demonstrated success working in a multinational environment.
- Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
