Job Title: Senior Maintenance Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amaris Consulting. As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal condition of high-tech semiconductor process equipment in our MEMS Foundry.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain assigned cluster systems and equipment, including uptime, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
  • Analyze performance and initiate, design, and implement improvements and upgrades.
  • Develop and implement methods for systematic monitoring of equipment to plan and execute preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Utilize appropriate methods and tools for engineering and repair activities.
  • Initiate and plan Preventive Maintenance (PM), develop maintenance plans, communicate with 'owners,' plan evaluations of PM, and track changes in the PM plans.
  • Responsible for the formal release of equipment following (preventive) maintenance.
  • Manage maintenance-related documentation (e.g., Preventive Maintenance procedures).
  • Improve methods and tools, including benchmarking with relevant external stakeholders and selecting suppliers.
  • Maintain close contact with equipment owners and operational technicians before, during, and after maintenance for optimal planning and execution.
  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance, including root cause analysis (RCA), maintenance planning, evaluation, documentation, and continuous improvements. Communicate issues across different levels.
  • Act as the project owner for small modifications in existing tools.
  • Draft technical specifications (including ESH issues) for new systems and equipment or modifications (as a member of the MDT team). Design and execute the technical acceptance test (IQ, OQ). Determine the spare parts policy based on a risk analysis and ensure that used parts and consumables are reordered.
  • Determine ESH solutions for equipment issues following a risk analysis and comply with the ESH policy, rules, and regulations. Enforce compliance.
  • Design disposal protocols (including ESH issues) for redundant systems and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about a wide range of systems, equipment, and processes.
  • Coach Maintenance Engineers & Technicians as a member of the maintenance and cluster teams.
  • Work safely for the team, the equipment, and the environment.
  • Join crash teams for complex machine/process failures and participate in Kaizen improvement teams.

About You:

  • HBO/WO certified in a technical discipline relevant to the industry (electronics, mechatronics, physics, materials science, mechanics, chemical engineering).
  • Preferably several years of experience as a maintenance engineer in a production environment and/or as a service engineer performing diverse and complex root cause analyses and problem-solving.
  • Experience with MEMS and/or semiconductor manufacturing is a strong advantage.
  • No 9-to-5 mentality and willingness to work evenings or weekends in case of emergencies.
  • Eager to learn the technical details of all equipment.
  • Skilled in reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • (Basic) knowledge of (computer) control systems, PLCs, networks.
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment.
