Job Title: Assistant Professor in Behavioural Genetics

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Professor in Behavioural Genetics to join our team at the Department of Biological Psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and teaching in the field of behavioural genetics, with a focus on the genetic and biological basis of individual differences in behaviour and mental health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research in behavioural genetics, including the analysis of genetic and environmental factors that contribute to individual differences in behaviour and mental health.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate students in the field of behavioural genetics, including courses on genetic epidemiology and statistical methods.
  • Supervise PhD students and contribute to the development of the department's research programme.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to develop and implement innovative research projects and interventions.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Behavioural Genetics or a related field.
  • Experience in conducting research in behavioural genetics, including the analysis of genetic and environmental factors.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
