PhD Researcher in Active Nanoparticles for RNA Delivery

The Bio-organic Chemistry group at Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team. As a PhD researcher, you will be working on the development of polymer-based nanoparticles with a motor function that can actively deliver nucleic acid therapeutics into living cells.
Key Responsibilities- Design and synthesis of polymer building blocks for nanoparticle preparation
- Self-assembly of nanoparticles with motile features and loading with therapeutic cargo
- Cell uptake experiments to evaluate nanoparticle efficacy
- Collaboration with international partners and participation in the NATPRIME doctoral network
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Polymer Chemistry, or Molecular Pharmaceutics
- Demonstrated knowledge of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and supramolecular chemistry
- Experience with cell biology and/or pharmaceutical research is a plus
- Research-oriented attitude and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C1 level)
- Full-time employment for four years with an intermediate evaluation after nine months
