At JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS, we're seeking a talented Global Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our Coffee Solutions Division, you'll have the opportunity to drive business growth through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovative Problem-Solving: Develop and implement data-driven solutions to tackle complex challenges and drive business outcomes.
  • Global Data Science Governance: Oversee and enhance Data Science requirements and best practices across our Professional division.
  • Community Building: Foster a global community of Data Science professionals and promote the adoption of industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in combined IT and business roles, demonstrating strategic impact.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in R and Python programming.
    • Experience with SQL and NoSQL database query languages.
    • Strong grasp of statistical techniques like regression, distributions, and maximum likelihood estimators.
    • Competency with machine learning methods, such as k-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes, SVM, and Decision Forests.
    • Knowledge of Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra for predictive analytics and optimization.
    • Ability to create compelling visualizations using tools like Power BI.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled at motivating teams and collaborating effectively with others, with high autonomy.
