Job Overview

Carnival Corporation and plc is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Instructor to join our team. As an Electrical Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering training to ship-board technical staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.


Key Responsibilities
  • Training Delivery: Deliver training sessions to ship-board technical staff, adhering to the CSMART course delivery process.
  • Course Development: Develop new courses and procedures to be implemented onboard ships, staying up-to-date with current practices and technology.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with Operations Support and other instructors to ensure a smooth delivery of courses.
  • Performance Monitoring: Follow up with participants to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Restore equipment and address deficiencies.

Requirements and Experience
  • Experience: Typically, 1st Engineer or higher experience is required.
  • Senior Engineer/Superintendent Experience: Experience as a Senior Engineer or Superintendent, with expertise in Marine Engineering, is highly valued.
  • Cruise Ship Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with cruise ship experience.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience in teaching or instructing is an asset.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer, networks, and MS Office365.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and verbal English.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
