About the Position

The University of Twente is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor to join our faculty in the field of Asset Management and Maintenance Engineering. As an Assistant Professor, you will play a key role in strengthening our research profile by focusing on new relevant theories, methodologies, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and education related to technology, design, production, and life cycle management of capital assets.
  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as supervise doctoral, master, and bachelor students.
  • Contribute to the development of new courses and programs, and participate in existing ones.
  • Collaborate with other research units at the university and with established industries to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer activities, including lifelong learning masterclasses.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in Asset Management and Maintenance Engineering, with a strong focus on life cycle management.
  • Proven track record of research and teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with industry partners.
  • Fluency in English.
