DNV is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead the Smart Cable Guard Product Development Team and oversee the development and maintenance of our Smart Cable Guard hardware and software.

As a Product Development Manager, you will lead a team of hardware and software specialists, focusing on managing the development and improvement of existing products and services to meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the multidisciplinary Product Development Team to solve challenging engineering problems throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Providing support, management, and technical leadership to your team, including mentoring and training staff, empowering individual growth, and stimulating a high-performing culture.
  • Aligning solution architecture with strategic vision and setting up the annual development roadmap, ensuring it aligns with the SCG product vision and executes in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Overseeing the design, prototyping, and testing phases to ensure product specifications are met.

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

  • A Master's degree in Engineering or a similar field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Product Development of industrial products involving cooperation between hardware and software processes.
  • Good understanding and experience of working through the various phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with embedded systems.
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking and convert it to tangible plans and actions.
  • Well-developed managerial capabilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex technical problems and guide individuals through associated issues.
  • Strong competence in report writing, ensuring clear and accurate reports are produced.
