Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Middleware Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Eindhoven, Netherlands. As a Middleware Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of JBoss application servers, as well as ensuring high availability, load balancing, and clustering. You will work closely with development, database, and network teams to ensure seamless integration and support of production applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, configure, and maintain JBoss application servers, including load balancing, clustering, and high availability
  2. Ensure smooth integration with web servers (httpd, nginx, haproxy) and application servers (Weblogic, Tomcat, etc.)
  3. Manage SSL certificate configurations, disaster recovery, and patching activities
  4. Deploy and monitor applications, set up environments, and perform troubleshooting
  5. Collaborate with development, database, and network teams to resolve P1 and P2 incidents
  6. Utilize DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible to automate tasks and improve efficiency
  7. Work on Linux platform commands and have experience with RHEL and Debian distributions
  8. Perform software installation and updates, and have general automation experience
  9. Desirable experience with containerized environments, cloud environments, and tools such as Terraform, Conjur, UFT, LoadRunner, Octane, and SV
  10. Familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Make, and package managers like NPM, Conan, NuGet, Composer, and RPM

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience in middleware administration, preferably with JBoss
  2. Experience with application servers (Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, etc.) and web servers (httpd, nginx, haproxy)
  3. Strong knowledge of Linux commands and experience with RHEL and Debian distributions
  4. Understanding of application concepts like load balancing, clustering, high availability, and SSL
  5. Experience with production application support and incident management (P1, P2)
  6. Good knowledge of installation, configuration, and maintenance of application servers
  7. Experience with web server and application server integration
  8. Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  3. Familiarity with Terraform, Conjur, UFT, LoadRunner, Octane, and SV
