Middleware Support Specialist

At STAFIDE, we are seeking a skilled Middleware Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in application server management, web server integration, and Linux-based operations. Experience with DevOps tools, containerized environments, and cloud infrastructure is also highly valued.
Responsibilities
As a Middleware Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support for application servers such as WebLogic, JBoss, or Tomcat. You will also manage web servers including httpd, Nginx, or HAProxy, oversee Linux-based operations, and ensure high availability through load balancing, clustering, and SSL configurations. Additionally, you will handle production application support and incident management (P1, P2), collaborating with DB, network, and development teams. You will contribute to middleware administration, including installations, configurations, patching, and environment setup.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess at least 6–8 years of experience in application server management (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat). You should have expertise with web servers and their integration with application servers (httpd, Nginx, HAProxy), as well as a strong understanding of load balancing, high availability, clustering, SSL certificates, and disaster recovery. Proficiency with Linux platforms and command-line operations is also essential. Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible is highly valued. You should be able to support general application infrastructure in a Linux-based environment (RHEL, Debian), perform software installations, updates, and manage automation tools, and work within containerized environments and cloud infrastructure. Utilization of automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and others for continuous integration and deployment is also required. Handle deployment tools and package managers like Maven, Gradle, NPM, Conan, and others. Lastly, you should be able to work collaboratively within teams and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies.
